The main gate at the Comfort Inn in Port Moresby. All homes and hotels in Moresby exist within a protected compound. Needs to be seen to be believed. I remember thinking on my way from Moresby airport to The Comfort Inn…. What have I got myself into here !!! The contrast hit me like a ton of bricks. As soon as I arrived at the hotel I took the local toilet paper for a “test run”. There were 3x security guards stationed on the main gate of the Comfort Inn 24 hours a day. The sliding gate you see in the photo was only opened to let cars in and out, otherwise it was shut. I stayed here for 6 days during which I attended PNG orientation with National Volunteer Services (NVS). The 1st 2x days I got picked up from the hotel and driven to NVS offices, after the 2nd day I decided to walk. As soon as I got off that plane I started to confront fear, I’ve been confronting fear ever since, but I’m working through it…. I just make sure that I carry ample toilet paper on me at all times.

Dear Sir / Madam
Can you please email me the Accomodation Rates for each night including any Special Rates given to a Couple with two children if Possible.
I will await your kind response, but before the 3rd of April 2009.

Rensie,
I do not represent the Comfort Inn and would probably not be appropriate if I started to give out their rates. Can I suggest that contact them directly:

Rotha,
You will need to contact the Comfort Inn directly for reservations. It is the Comfort Inn you are trying to contact isn’t it?
