Another day…

Good morning folks,

Another day for you and another day for me. I seem to be making some headway with the blog layout and slowly getting the hang of it. As you can see I am now able to post photos OK. All photos are organised into albums, so just click on “Photo Albums” to have a look. There is one album called : Photos with stories” and if you click on a photo in this album you will see a caption with a little story of the photo, like when it was taken and what was going through my head at the time etc…

My work load has been steadily increasing, I have 11 hours of classes per week for which I need to prep lectures and also set and mark assignments. On top of the teaching schedule I am also getting involved in sorting out networking and desktop issues. The systems here are basically in a mess and with no money to spend it is going to be a big ask for me to be able to achieve anything at all. I will chip away at the small urgent things first at the same time, try and work on a The Big Picture. Don't know if this made any sense (it did'nt to me).

I am slowly getting used to the heat and the way of life here. I remember mum telling me before I left, please don't turn into one of them !!  In order to cope and deal with the frustration of PNG time it becomes necesary to take on a bit of the relaxed attitude. Sorry mum, I am slowly becoming one of them !  I have heard said that once you live in PNG for a time, the small things no longer bother you !  Things just do not happen in this place as a matter of urgency. They do happen but in PNG time !!  The end result of this attitude can be frustration but also it encourages a more relaxed approach to life. This is nice.

Anyway family and friends, good to see that some of you are reading my blog and also leaving comments. As a rule I will not reply to comments, so if you want an answer from me then please email me at wanbel@trupela.com or I can also be reached at thebestblokeintheworld@schilt.info or whodoeshethinkheis@schilt.info or ……

Everyone take care and miss you all.
