Some of the staff have been commenting lately that the morale in the Department is pretty low. Perhaps an event such as this one might help cheer people up a little.
I have received a few strange responses to the idea of having an after hours “work” BBQ. Some of the staff must be foreign to the concept of a get together outside of work hours. A very Australian notion but a good one nevertheless. Text book stuff really. Get a few of the work mates together for a few sausages and a few drinks, the impact on morale is positive and instantaneous.
