A few days away from Lae…

A few days away from Lae... photo

I head off shortly (in about 30mins) to “Wagang” village for a couple of days. This will be my 2nd visit to “Wagang” and I am very excited. The 1st time I went it was all new and strange and I was therefore a little nervous.

The plan is to catch up PMV truck like the one above in the photo from the main market area in Lae town. The trip to the village will take around 2-3 hours. Tonight I sleep in the village and then tomorrow go for a 3 hour hike to the coast. Here I will stay Tuesday night and then Wednesday I will come back to Lae on what they call a banana boat.

Yeeehaaaaaa !!!!!

Those that haven't read my previous post on my 1st visit to “Wagang”….   now is the time to catchup on the goss. On my last visit I wrote a three part story:

A PNG village (Part #1)

A PNG village (Part #2)
A PNG village (Part #3)

I will stay with my friend Jethro. Jethro is a clan elder and has lived his whole life in Wagang.

Stay tuned for plenty of photos and stories !!!
