A box full of “goodies” arrived this morning courtesy John and Therese. Thanks a million! As photos from previous give-aways suggest the 2nd hand clothes and toys that people are sending over are making many kids (and parents too of course) happy as a pig in you know what.
In Lae it can be quite overwhelming to see the number of children that are not properly dressed. You know why? Because their parents just do not have the money to buy clothes or footwear for the young ones. At the end of the day these people rely on hand-outs and the generosity of family and friends to get by.
This box that arrived today will go along way to help some of these people.
I have the lucky job of handing out these gifts and the experience at hand-out time is beyond words.
Keep'm coming folks… !!!
