My teaching schedule for this semester is as follows:
IS215 – Accounting Information Systems (2nd Year)
IS343 – Programming in Visual Basic (I am sitting in on this 3rd year subject)
CS145 – Introduction to Information Technology (1st Year)
In summary, a grand total of 6x teaching hours a week !!
Anyone jealous ?

You had it easy :-)
I wrote the Information Systems curriculum in 1997; it’s probably undergone some changes since then and more than one change of staff. Leonard Greenland took over from me when I left in 1998. My house was 64 Madang.
1997 I think I taught 30 hours a week along with Peter and Mayssa. Then Jimmy Kannibau and Agnes Kapipi came back from their overseas studies and Leonard came back for another stint after returning from Kiribati.
Good times. Your articles and photos have brought back so many memories. Thank you.
Best Regards,
Stu Fleming
Head, Information Systems (1996-1998)
Hi Stuart,
Apologies for late response but have been on the busy side. In addition – been shuffling backend of this blog around – interestingly since you left your comment – this site has moved to another server. I’m moving away from shared hosting to a cloud environment.
Nice to hear from you. 2005 and 2006 were good years for me and I thoroughly enjoyed my time at UNITECH. The 1st year particularly as it was all new. 2nd time round – it started to get a little boring.
I still keep in contact with Leonard. He used to share stories about the old days at UNITECH – things sure have changed. Back in the 90′s it must have been an amazing place to work.
Lae’s not the place it used to be – at times I feel like I’m living in a shit-hole. Some how I persist.
Feel free to make contact offline at email robert at trupela dot com
Cheers,
