One of our Professors (Head of Department) done the bolt earlier this week. The newly appointed academic had only been at UNITECH for a couple of months and left PNG in a hurry some time last Sunday. The first that anyone knew that he had done the runner was email sent to another member of staff all the way from Singapore.
I knew PNG to be intense but that intense ?
Makes one wander what was going through his head at the time.
The choices one makes.
What about the poor dudes left behind without a boss! It might be another 5x years before a replacement is found !
