How things work around here !
PNG Power is currently updating all the electrical meters at private homes all over campus with a new pay system called : “EasyPay”. What this means is that PNG Power customers with the “EasyPay” meter installed will have to purchase electricity in advance. Yesterday, PNG Power were around and installed one of these new “EasyPay” meters at my home in Purari Dr.
So far so good…
One small problem…. I don't have access to the “EasyPay” power meter !! The power meter is located next door which also happens to be a home surrounded by razor wire and a 2.5 meter fence.
Now… I have been aware for some time that PNG Power was intending to deploy these “EasyPay” meters around campus and being the “organised” person that I am went to UNITECH Housing and Maintenance and logged a request to have my power meter moved from next door to it's rightful place – I did this all the way back in January !!
All the way back in January !! I not only logged this work request but have on many occasions been back to Housing to find out where this job was up to – always getting the following response : “We are on to it !!”
One of the things that “shits” me about PNG is having to ask again and again and again. It's like if you only ask a few times it's assumed that you did'nt really want the work done in the 1st place. Always having to followup – always having to ask. It shits me to no end.
Note that apart from the job to reloacte the meter I have had 3 other jobs logged with Housing – also since January !!
Shits me no end !!!
