1) Have just come down with the big “M” (Malaria). On top of still being in recovery mode from my trip to “Bamata” village… illness strikes. In a masochistic sort of way I am “thrilled” to have contracted this tropical illness as I have been curious what it might be liket.
2) Just had a blew with Eli. Yukkie but resolvable. Hope she is still at home after I leave the office (not much fun being crook alone).
3) Have been witnessing and experiencing a quality of communication within our department which bamboozles me. There appears to be a side to academia that comes across as very childish and immature.
4) Most people in PNG complain about corruption and nepotism yet most participate in this behaviour.
5) Time to shut up – go home and pump myself full of Lariam (anti-malarial).
