Had a win with Linux this morning. Have been trying to get an internet connection through the campus network from a PC and a Laptop that I have installed with Suse Linux V10.0. At 1st I thought I had to “fiddle” with Samba to authenticate to the local NT Domain to get it working but alas !! …on closer investigation all I needed to do was run the “pidentd” daemon in order to identify the Linux PC/Laptop to the Squid Proxy. Presto! After some more testing and familiarisation I will seriously consider making the switch. Bill Gates can go break his balls !!
On a non technical note… I went over to Geoff's place last night and watched the 2nd State of Origin match. Great to see NSW get a punding by the QLDers. I'm not a particularly strong QLD supporter but I do have a weak spot for an underdog and with QLD not having much luck over the past couple of years – I felt strongly that it was their turn to win! Besides… with the score sitting at 1:1… it will make the 3rd mnatch all the more interesting. From what I have observed here in PNG – there is only one place in the that takes it Rugby more seriously than aussies and that is the folks here in PNG. Fanatics they are!
And lastly I want to let you know that I have created a new photo album called : Goasa's trip to Taiwan (2006). Any photos that Goasa sends me from Taipei will be posted to this album. There are already three photos in the album and one of them showing Goasa hard at work !!
