DBS wins the 2006 Rugby Grand Final !

Department of Business Studies (DBS) representative Rugby League team won the grand finals yesterday against the Architecture and Building (ArchBuild) team. Don’t ask me what the final score was but it was certianly an action packed game and both sides played some marvellous rugby

On pigs, death and “haus krai”…

Got this thing happening with the two pigs : “Prof” and “Princess”. Learning about their differences, their quirks and their individual idiosyncrasies. “Princess” the girl is the loudest and a born trouble maker – she’ll egg “Prof” on – espeically around dinner time. There is no ignoring the “squeal”

UNITECH Rugby finals (2006)…

The Department of Business Studies representative Rugby team is once again playing the inter-departmental grand finals this weekend. As Patron and supporter of the team I forwarded the following email this morning to my colleagues in Business Studies

Rang Oz last night…

It was my brother’s birthday yesterday and with a spare K20 phone card in my wallet I decided to splurge on a telephone call. It was 10:10pm in the evening and I had just returned from my weekly Rotary meeting. I was keen to speak with John and to give him my best birthday wishes

Children of life…

I just had 30 mins. with the pigs. It’s 9pm’ish, one of the local churches disrespectfully blares in the background, other Melanesian sounds of the night also abound. The crickets and frogs, other insect life, the odd dog barking, a car drives by somewhere in the distance
