Live !

This Saturday… !!

…at Duncanson Hall !!!

……the “One Man Circus” !!!!

An opportunity to:
…perform
…be heard
…be acknowledged
…entertain
…challenge myself
…and those around me
…hear and see some laughter
…to make a difference
…say thanks

The above flyer has been posted on notice boards
around campus. And although I am still weeks away from departing these
shores – students will start to leave towards the middle of next week
(exam week) – so that basically leaves me this weekend to do a “fun”
night with them. The student body of UNITECH have been a major
contributor to the PNG experience for me. Over the past 19 months I
have had the privilege to teach probably a few hundred students and I
have become friends with many of them. Saturday evening will be my way
of thanking the students of UNITECH for having been a part of something
unique and special.

The small text in the above flyer reads as follows:

As
the 2006 academic year and also my assignment as a volunteer at UNITECH
slowly draws to an end and before we all depart for our respective
holiday and xmas destinations, I would like to take this opportunity to
share some of the adventures and anecdotes from the 19 months that I
have lived and worked in Lae. The PNG experience has turned out to be
very special and unique for me and one that I dearly look forward to
sharing with you this Saturday evening.

mmm … got to be the first person to post a comment on this one !
I think it is very brave of you to do this… and also, realise that the 19 months in Lae was a special 'milestone' in your special life !
Where will your journey take you next ?
I hope everybody who reads this realises that we are all on a journey – maybe not as exotic or exciting as Rob's – but we are ALL on our own journeys…
… so the question still stands… to all :
Where will your journey take you next ?
Rob, look forward to catching up with you in a few weeks…
    love… john schilt
