Tis Friday PM and I just finished my 1st full
week back at work since December 2006. And guess what? I’m thoroughly enjoying
it! It’s only been one week and although there is a long and hard road ahead,
the journey has commenced. I have a CEO that is a visionary and our working
relationship has got off to a pretty good start. We both see eye to eye on many
aspects of the challenges that lie ahead and we are both pragmatists when it
comes to solving problems.
I met Don Lewis today. An Australian and consultant from
Moresby brought in to review and refine the reporting process for the Health
Department at a National level. I had a bout 3 hours with Don and it was a very
productive few hours, Don’s background is in Hospital Information Systems (HIS)
and he was therefore able to enlighten me on a great many aspects of
Information Systems within Hospitals. As I have no previous experience in the
Curative/Medical Industry – I basically need all the help I can get. Thanks for
your email address Don – I will certainly be in touch! (As soon as I get that
Internet connected anyway).
Went into town with Eli this afternoon and apart from
running into a bunch of her relo’s we purchased a set of speakers for my
laptop. Movie time!! Thank you very much. Tis strange how there are times when
one can really look forward to a simple movie. And I love my movies. We ended
up watching “Batman. The Beginning”. Top stuff.
