Back in Goroka

With all my material possessions (literally) in tow I arrived back safely in Goroka last night after spending a week in  Lae. I was lucky enough (or perhaps unlucky enough) to get a lift back in the truck. Lucky enough because I was able to keep an eye on my things as they traveled up the highway but unlucky enough to experience traveling in a truck cabin with four grown men including the driver and on top of the “squashiness” I was even more unlucky to have scored the short straw and had to sit in the middle! The 300km trip went relatively quickly as we managed quite a few pit stops and there was certainly no shortage of jokes and stories along the way.

Eli comes back on Monday so I have a couple of days to unpack and sort through boxes! The repairs that I asked for on the new house all seem to have been done but will do a more detailed inspection when I go there shortly.

Anyway, tis now 9:30am on Saturday morning and I got to keep moving…
