First bunch of photos of our home at Gonix in Goroka. We both love it here, the space, the gardens and mostly quiet neighbours. The vegetable patches, flower gardens and general landscaping had obvioulsy been done by a previous dedicated resident. Eli has taken charge of the garden and loves to potter during the day, she has already planted about 10 different types of vegies and about a dozen varieties of flowers. “Gelo” – the dog occasionally goes beserk and has been known to dig huge “pits” right in the middle of where he’s not meant to. Don’t worry the poor animal has already copped his fair share of beltings.
The five bedrooms plus the granny flat out the back gives us plenty of space. The house I had down at UNITECH was a studio compared to this castle. Certainly by PNG standards we live like royalty.
A view of the flower gardens in our backyard (note the security fencing in the background)….

So once the “hut” is finished out at the village we will have both a town and a rural residence!!
