Last month I visited Eli's village in Simbu and our visit coincided with the 2007 Kaubasis School Fete. We stayed a night and it rained and it rained – the ground everywhere was slippery, wet and heaps muddy. Slosh – slosh -slosh!!
I have been posting around four photos a day from last month's visit and was lucky (or unlucky) enough to catch some PNG pissheads in action. You haven't seen dancing until you've seen PNG men dance after a few.
The story I wrote on returning from Kaubasis: “One night in “Basis” (Written 15/4/07)” (I certainly wasn't impressed with the drunken behaviour at the time – the very boys that started off dancing were later on getting into fights and starting trouble)
