Update…
Had a great three days out at the “Hut”. Jules, an AVI volunteer, joined us out at the village and had a great time. On Sunday morning – just after waking up – I had a strong urge to stay on for a few more days…

IT Training at Goroka Hospital…
Started today! All five being trained up to be Ingots Trainers. Ingots is the system of IT training that we have adopted at the Hospital. Interestingly all PC’s in the Training room (and eventually the Hospital) are running Open Source Software…
It’s Jbro’s birthday today!
My brother John, is celebrating his birthday today. Can’t tell you his age because the way I work it out is to subtract four years from mine and I’ve forgotten how old I am!!…

Coming up with these grandiose ideas and then expecting someone else to foot the bill. I’m sick of it!! The truth is that if one cannot manage a small sum appropriately then one has buckleys with an even larger amount. It’s not only the rich that squander but the “poor” folks are pretty good at it too…

PNG village women are capable of (and expected to) carry incredible loads and here’s the proof and with a smile on their face!(This photo was taken at Mangiro Junction just before we walked into the village with Mum for the official opening of the “Hut”) And yes that’s my blue sleeping bag one of the women is carrying!! (Shame on you Rob)…
