(as in sundry)
- 8:20pm - a house half full of folks and here I am in the lounge room writing this post.
- Life is good…
- I've back of from the Linux obsession (for now).
- Gelo and Manam still fight like “cats and dogs”.
- Question: why is it that I only get to speak with Mum on Skype? Technophiles… where are you?
- Had lunch with an Australian Psychiatrist today. He's currently in PNG looking for some work and an opportunity to escape an western life style that is no longer working for him. The bloke's name is Peter and I enjoyed the interaction.
- The only three things I'm going to say on the recent Australian Federal elections:
1) I didn't vote!
2) Only found out yesetrday (Tuesday) that Ruddy had won.
3) To quote author Richard Flanagan - one old bald man with glasses has been replaced with a younger bald man with glasses.
- I now own eight PNG style caps.
- 8:30pm and we still haven't had dinner. Hurry up girls!!
- The future remains unknown…
- .Here's another PNG'ism for you. Had a chicken burger at the Bird for lunch (with Peter), chicken burgers at The Bird come with mayonnaise and the serving staff normally bring a bottle of catch-up (tomato sauce) with the mayo laden chicken burger. Anyone ever had mayo and tomato sauce on a chicken burger?
- The wireless network at IMR was down today.
- I still indulge in the odd “buai” chew.
- And yes… unfortunately I'm on the ciggies (the fuckers!!).
- The work-worj “To Do List” seems to be getting longer and longer. Distractions galore.
- Anyone willing to download, burn and send me a DVD with everything required to setup a Ruby on Rails Development environment (in a Debian/Linux Environment of course)?
- Regarding the previous point… pretty please!!!
- Shantaram is still one of my all time favourite books. Anyone know when the movie's being released?
- There's a ciggie burning a hole in my pocket right now… going outside to give in to the craving.
- Enough “Tid bits” for on session!!
See ya's…

Rob,
I'll volunteer for the Ruby on Rails thing… what I'll do is buy you a large disk drive and fill it up with things and send to you… What would you prefer, SATA or IDE ? Would you prefer a disk with an encolsure already built around or just the drive itself… send me a wish list and i'll help out… js
btw, a few weeks ago we had a power hit and some appliances died, one of them being the Engin 3 box… so no internet - I set up the old modem, internet works, albeit slowly. Expect to get new Engin 3 box over the next few days…
