Finally!

All the photos taken last April on our visit to Fatao village have now
been posted.

You know what this means don't you…

There's a about a thousand more to post before I finally catch up.
Ideally  would like to post more recent and current photos. Still have
a whole batch from Mum's visit to post to.

At four a day?!?!

Why four a day???

Because that's how many fit across the main page of the blog (4).

Worked from home today…

Have finally finished a report which I will submit to the CEO tomorrow in which I make a recommendation for Internet connectivity at the Hospital. Costs an arm and a leg here in PNG (Internet subscription) and in the end we will settle for a 128kbps leased line service. Anything faster that 256kbps is prohibitively expensive and well beyond the Hospital's current Budget. 256kbps (copper) would be do-able but if we start at 128kbps there will be room for movement (an upgrade path) - say 12months down the track.

Initially there will be only 3 PC's at the Hospital with Internet
connectivity - all located in the Business Resource Center which falls
under the umbrella of IT. Initially, a shared and limited resource but
eventually the Hospital will need to look at deploying Internet services to all PC's across the network. Having the Internet services centralised will also make it easier to monitor (and control) it's usage. Management's concern that it could be abused is totally valid.

Remember my motto… “chip-chip-chip… slowly but surely”!!
