Despite not posting many photos of myself – now and then I do manage to post one or two.
This photo was taken October last year on our visit to village and I am sitting on the steps at the middle of the wire bridge just behind the “hut”.

For the past six months our monthly visits to Kaubasis have always included a joint clan meeting to discuss the setting up of an association. Well, six months of meetings, discussions and at times
confusion have finally paid of!
This week we will be lodging form ’1′ (Intention to apply) of the application to register an association. The association will be known as the Keto-Tapasi Progress Association and will be made up eight clans (approx. 3000 folks) – crossing one provincial and three local level government ward borders – the eight clans form two tribes and thus two languages.
An incredible coming together and cross-section of different folks. Considering that Highlander’s have a tendency to engage in tribal warfare to resolve differences, the fact that we have reached this far
is certainly no mean feat. Where we go from here and what we are able to do as a group remains to be seen. But the first step has now been taken.
