Dad…
It’s been 7 years since you left us,
and today,
on the anniversary of your passing away,
we remember you.
We remember you Dad,
and wish you were still here with us,
to share and laugh together,
and be as a family.
Dad…
It is now 2008,
and I live and work in PNG,
they call it the Land of the Unexpected.
Wish you were still here Dad,
so that we could share with you,
the beauty and joy…
of this country and it’s people.
And Dad…
I’ve met that special person,
I know you would like her,
she’s one of a kind,
her name is Eli.
Sorry Dad,
I want to cry
and scream out,
but I’m at my desk at work.
When I realised the date,
April the 16th,
I remembered you,
and wanted to write.
So Dad…
wherever you are,
however you are,
you are remembered with warmth…
And if there is a god,
an almighty creator,
and your with him right now,
put in a good word for me.
Still love you a million Dad!!
