Well, how about this one?
To the embarrasment (and perhaps shame of Eli) this is how I headed of to work this morning!!
Why?
Well - last weekend I cut my right foot and I wanted to keep it protected from the dust, dirt and grime. So I thought why not wear two socks on the one foot!! Besides, the socks stop the inside of my shoe/sandle aggravating the painful spot.
Practical but not the best look I suppose…
Anyway - at 3:30pm in the afternoon the one sock look survives as you can see in the photo above!
Now…
Here comes the punch line - or the moral of the story!
People have been asking me today… What’s the go with the one sock?
I tell them… whilst looking down at my feet (they then look down too of course!)
The right foot got greedy and ended up with both socks!
The left foot missed out and is jealous like buggery!!
Then I tell them to think about what I just told them…
NB: For those non locals reading this post - greed and jealousy, especially in villages - is tearing the PNG social fabric to bits!!
