Rantings: “Walking”

Today…
I walked,
I walked
and I walked.

From just after sun up,
to just before sun down.
I walked
and I walked.

From home to West
and down to Chuave market,
main market and town,
I walked and I walked.

Kakaruk and back to West,
from West to home.
A little rest,
and then out the door again.

I walked,
I walked
and I walked.

From home back to West,
then Green Corner,
Orange Corner
and Red Corner.

All in a day,
walking,
walking
and more walking.

From street sellers,
to marketeers,
mamas and papas,
one story after another.

There are times I hurt,
deep down,
I worry
and sometimes I even cry.

PNG - life in your face.
no escaping the pain,
the suffering,
the humanity.

At times I even cry,
but there is solace.
Walking, walking
and more walking.

No escaping life,
nor the fears,
nor the worries,
nor the injustice.

For all suffer,
all hurt…
In the end,
just truth.
