It’s called Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).

You will find many articles on the subject – in my opinion there’s three things that ultimately impact the ranking of a site:

1) Content
2) Aesthetics
3) SEO

Up until 6 months ago I thought SEO was an acronym for a corporate executive. The last few months and ever since I moved to WordPress – this whole area has become a passion. Interestingly the more I get into it – the more complex it seems to become. Having said that there are some basic rules of thumb that one can apply to improve ones rankings.

Most (if not all) other blogs around PNG focus mainly on content and not on the other two points. I have spread myself evenly across all three. This is probably why my blog scores better in the rankings – not necessarily because my content is superior. Your blog ma man… has content that is absolutely exceptional – with a little bit of tweaking – you would zoom straight past me on the Alexa scale.

A little tweak here and a little tweak there…

Funny thing, I followed a link to a site called Alexa (web information company) which referred a person to my Blog and it lists Robert@PNG as the highest hit PNG website.

Robert@PNG even beats PNGBD and both the PC and The National and Air Niugini. I’m not kidding.
