Reorganising categories and posts

With over 1200 posts from four years of blogging and 95% of these posts sitting in a single category titled “General Articles”, the task of reorganising these into meaningful types (categories) is by no means a simple nor a quick task.

the PNG Social Fabric is in a process of a collapse. At the heart of crime, disease, prostitution and poverty lies alcohol, drugs and gambling. And at the root of these afflictions lies confusion, greed and jealousy.

The arduous task of organising wordpress categories

have started the arduous task of properly organising my categories. 95% of posts have always been sitting under General Articles. Well that’s all about to change. 60% done thanks to new Batch Edit feature within WP 2.7. Taking shape but still a pain in the arse chore.

Visit to the Hut temporarily on hold

we have had to temporarily delay our visit to the “Hut” due to shortage of cash. Freedom of movement is definitely restricted when there’s no mulla!!

Just the two of us

We did the Skype thing yesterday with the family back in Sydney. It was really nice to talk, have a giggle and hear their voices. Although the Skype connection started to play up after a while (as one would expect over PNG dialup) – we did manage to get a good 30 minutes in. The absolute wanders of modern technology. (If only I had broadband!!)

10 Thoughts I had on Xmas day 2008

The speed at which time flies nowadays is just unbelievable – Xmas 2008 has certainly come in a hurry and is now almost over. Although a christian festival – most folks around the world celebrate Xmas in one form or another – some folks write Xmas letters whilst others send cards – families get together and give each other presents – and how could we forget the Xmas parties at work and social clubs
