Court case adjourned!
due to a no show by the accused – the Village Court scheduled for today has been cancelled. A process has been initiated to have the thief arrested by the police and taken to gaol. This was a better option then the alternative – which was to break one of his legs and burn his house down. Things have settled down (for now) and everyone is safe.…
The bastard thief is no where to be found!
look’s like the court case at Kiango Village has had to be called off! The bastard thief apparently has run away to Lae! Right now there’s a contingent of our clan members on there way to Kiango to find out what’s going on. Hourly updates from Uncle Russell coming in. Might have to “move” at a moments notice.…
Time to go to Court
we head up to Kiango this morning – a small Eastern Highland’s village on the Okuk Highway. I’m taking a bloke to the Village Court for stealing some “cargo” from us. “Name” and “Shame” is what I reckon when someone gets caught and that’s exactly what I plan on doing when I stand up in front of those magistrates later this morning.…
