Been slowly working through a list of things to do in Sydney before I return to Goroka on the 4th of April. There’s the catching up with family and close friends, buying the odd gadget, a bit of banking stuff and of course the mandatory booster vaccinations and general check-ups.
Dental and Optical visits are now behind me and for better or worse I have been prescribed a stronger pair of reading glasses. Eli (my partner) is aware that I was getting my eyes checked during this Sydney visit and is far from happy after I sent her this photo…
Little does Eli know that I am pulling her leg – the above glasses are a pair of “dork” glasses that my sister brought down from Brisbane where she purchased them in one of the many “2 Dollar” shops. We have all had a go at wearing them just for a laugh.
In the mean time Eli is fuming and is insisting that I go back to the optometrist and get them changed!!

I thought they were the ‘extra geeky’ glasses that you put on when you have a really tough IT problem to solve :-)
And they are mate!
Except that since adopting Open Source (and more specifically WordPress) I am confronted with a stream of interesting riddles.
In the meantime Eli is still fuming and “insists” that I go back to the optical center and exchange them.
