After more than two months being off the air – Trupela is back online! A few months older and hopefully a little wiser… we’re back in business. Note the blog! A new layout and theme with a totally different feel. Lots of stories and experiences to share with you – some happy and others sad. PNG continues to be a heaven and a hell merged into one. The unexpected still prevails!
This weekend we head to the “hut” out at the village – once again – for some well earned R&R. I hope all of you are experiencing high stakes in the health, wealth and wisdom game!

allow me to be the first, I hope, to welcome you back mate. We’re now in Cairns and just about to head up to PNG on Tuesday. We’ll be at Ukarumpa for just over two weeks – don’t know how much we’ll be able to get out though so not sure if I can collect those beers you owe me on this trip or not. We shall see…
anyway… welcome back mate.
You are either using a newsreader or in tune with much more than I could ever imagine. Only just put up the blog and the latest post! I certainly “owe” you a couple… “six packs” waiting for you if you make up to Goroka. (Or some Livex – depending on your tastes)

Yes Rob, welcome back. How we missed those daily updates on the good, the bad and the ugly !
Format is different, may take us a while to get used to…. but we will !
Mum i still in Mongolia – not quiet sure when she’ll be back – and I’m sure there will be tons of stories from here adventures….
Bye for now….
John
Hi John,
Thanks for that encouraging feedback. It’s not only the format that is different but the nature of what I share about too. I’m guessing that the “stuff” you enjoyed in the past will continue to be published.
I told Mum before she left… to watch out for any locals chasing her in blue underpants. Hope she listened to my advice!
Thanks again bro,
R
Well done, welcome back Bro. About time and its all very awesome indeed. I Iike all the different topic headings to separate different topics for easy reference.
Thanks E,
Feels like I suffered an injury and I’m back on the field.
The power and versatility of WP continues to drive my passion for blogging.

Welcome back old boy, we’ve all been missing you. Do you know that I was in Goroka two weeks ago, saw you at the crossing about to head to town, with buai in you maus. Anyway, I was on a trip with the CIC boys in Goroka, visit the Jiwaka, Simbu and Eastern Highlands provinces. Sorry mate, twas quite hectic, so couldn’t get around to seeing you. Welcome back and let’s see you climb back to the top of the PNG blogging billboard!
M,
Thanks for the acknowledgement and your welcome.
Although I have been “off-line” I was aware of your visit to GKA via your blog. Shame we didn’t get a chance to catchup. I suppose there’s always next time. Lets make it next time… or else!!

NB: Old boy????
hi Rob,
and again….., Welcome back!
From a web surfers level, i like the new layout, easy to access relevant interests.
I have certainly missed reading about your ventures and updates of gka.
When I saw the title of the new blog i was a bit surprised as it is very similar to the title of a unit I am doing this semester at uni, Policy, Technology and Democracy. I was thinking Policy being Tirbalism, Technology for Technology and the Democracy practiced allows for the Unexpected in PNG…. something like that…..
I look forward to reading your PNG application of my unit
Weast.
Weast,
Thanks bro. Never a dull moment in the Land of the Unexpected!
Stay tuned… never know what you will read here!!

G’day mate.
I’m well pleased your back.
Hope and love to, your family. Maria is back safely and has spoken with Carol. Marja close now.
Respect.
Noel
Noel,
Thanks for that bro. What about yourself – back from the Nth Coast?

Great to see your blog back.
Kev
Thanks Kevin,
Great to be back online. My stories will naturally be a little more “subdued” – with a tonne of the unexpected thrown in for good measure.
Loved your photos on Albany by the way. Here’s the link for those that missed out: Kev’s photos of Albany.
Cheers mate,
