Good friends of ours own a Computer Store in Madang which has been held up at least three times since it opened a little under a year ago. The latest armed robbery by raskols was caught on video!

Here’s a transcript written by our friend of what transpired during the robbery:
This incident was unfortunate, however as of 27.9.09, two suspects have been apprehended by the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary (RPNGC), we thank them and the community for their efforts, we are trading as normal.
Overview: Four men walk into the shop, the fifth one stays outside and closes the shop door, telling any customers that the shop is closed. The four on the inside threaten staff with 2 guns and bush-knifes, tie up the security (shows on the left with yellow shirt) and tie up the two female staff.
Robbery is well organised, however a persistent and regular customer forces his way into the premises, knowing that the staff must be inside since their car is on the street, this disturbs the thieves and they start leaving.
The security guard, second last to run out of the premises, persues the gunman that was hanging around the left of the counter and captures him, well done Peter!
Looks like in the end justice prevailed!!

Know what you mean. At least the dudes were moving and we did get to see a couple of guns too! And… you now have a better idea of what a “real” raskol looks like!!

Robert, “raskol” live with us everyday talk to us share smoke with us and share good things with us, but are unpredictable when someone else comes around and influence with something new, they act as if they don’t know and can sometimes end up taking lives
