We got back from the “Hut” around lunch time on Saturday. We had a fabulous time. The rest, release and nurturing after a few days in the village is beyond words.
A digital snap of our “Hut” as it looked around the middle of last week. We had such a great time that we have decided to head back for another week between the Xmas and new year break. Eli left this morning and I will travel by PMV back up the Highlands Highway on Thursday morning.
The main reason for the visit was to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the Keto-Tapasi Progress Association. The above sign was hanging between trees at Mangiro Junction just of the road that leads into the heart of Kaubasis village(s).
As soon as one leaves the H’way one is greeted by the power and magnificence of Simbu mountainous countryside. By this stage of the walk my head and soul have are already begun to breath easier and lighter.
I plan on sharing most of the photos taken last week with you together with short stories (just like this post) over the next few days. I’ll probably do another post tomorrow – with snaps – before heading back to the “Hut” the day after.
Those of you keen to see all of the photos right now… head on over to this wee photo album.
