Farewell Papua New Guinea

Farewell beloved PNG,
Jacksons Airport…
Balus Ples…
Gateway to the Unexpected.

Waiting…
waiting and…
more waiting,
and then some!

As I prepare to leave,
the future unknown,
may I ask you PNG,
please find it in your heart,
to allow me to return.

To a land and a people,
a place I now call home,
to a love I have found
where humanity abounds.

Thank you PNG…
for the past 5 years,
for the adventure,
for the extraordinary,
and of course the unexpected.

Bring it on!

I left in 2001 – haven’t been back yet. I was there most of the 90′s. Worked for DAL in Lae for a while and then joined NAQIA in Mosbi.

Dying to get back there. Want to take one of my large format cameras up the Highlands and get out to some of the villages i used to visit. Have some good friends in Enga. Good friends all over PNG.
