A shambles !!

There have been a couple of stories in The National newspaper this week about the poor handling of the 2006 Student Registration here at UNITECH.

Like many things in PNG : inefficiency rules !! If there isn’t an inefficient way of doing something then management will find one for sure.

I know that the registration process is a difficult and complex process for the University Administration. But I cannot help feeling for the students. They are confused, tired and angry !! Many of them have not yet been allocated rooms and have slept out in the open for close to a week. I have also been told by many UNITECH staff that this year… it’s the worst they have seen it!!

This morning I took some photos of the students waiting in queues and basically hanging around looking confused. These can be viewed in the Registration 2006 photo album. Let the photos speak for themselves.
