…why I haven't been blogging much the past few days.

Up until recently the speed of the internet link here at UNITECH was bearable. But only if one got on before 8:30am and after 5:00pm. Recently and as a result of pressure from the Students Union, internet access was granterd and enabled for most student lab PC's. In principle a great idea and certainly a resource that students need access to. The problem is the speed of the link. Now with both staff and students competing for internet bandwidth, which now includes weekends as well, internet access is next to useless during normal waking hours. Up until 8:00am the speed of the connection is acceptable but at any other times - basically slower than a “donkey on the gear”.

So this morning I got up extra early and meandered into the office to write today's post. Nothing much to report really other than I still have a bunch of photos to show you. Also, with exams coming up which is generally a busy period for academics, I have been a little caught up with work.
