Rantings: “Balus Park”

I sit in the Balus Pak,
Waiting for Eli.
Two days now,
Two days back in PNG.

There’s a warm glow in the gut,
it ’s a nice glow,
a sense of belonging,
like a coming home.

Papua New Guineans,
interaction,
happiness
and their gorgeous smiles.

Where will life take me too from here?
Expect the unexpected,
a loss of control
followed by a deep sense of freedom.

Goroka, my new home
for the next two years at least,
one adventure followed by another
and I still wait for Eli!

I just sit and wait
in the Balus Pak,
no planes landing or taking off,
just a sense of peace and calm.

In PNG.
patience eventually comes,
either that or frustration
followed by stress.

Beautiful Papua New Guinea,
my new found home.
I still sit and wait for Eli,
peaceful, calm and happy.
