One of those words in the English language that I don't get to use very often. Sundry! Have you ever wondered where the word comes from? (I have and in fact I'm wondering right now)
A quick search…
Etymology: Middle English, different for each, from Old English syndrig, from sundor apart

Lumba, Eli's brother who is staying with us for a few days went into town yesterday to buy some fresh food from the main markets. On his way back home a street boy grabbed his bilum and tried to do a runner. Poor kid didn't get very far - Lumba caught up with him and gave him a flogging. Lucky a police car that just happened to be driving passed, pulled up and carried the kid of to the police station for a night in lockup. Lumba 's a tough kid and grew up on the streets of West Taraka and for a kid his age he certainly knows how to handle himself well. I'm glad Lumba got the better of the other kid and in the end nothing was stolen. Although I can't help feel for the kid in the police cells - he was probably just starving and desperate to find his next meal. Onya Lumba!!

I recently heard from two separate and reliable sources, one of them an eye-witness, that on Monday, the day before yesterday a baby boy was sold (for cash) right out front of Best Buy, one of the big department stores in town and smack bang right in the center of Goroka, in full view of the public. The baby boy was only about a year old and was sold to folks from another clan. Who would have thought in this day and age? The irony is that where this happened is across the road from the head office of “Save the Children” Fund.
The things folks do for a buck !!!!
