Been in Sydney for one week now and I’m having a fantastic time. Seeing family and friends after being away for two years is beyond words. Although a new chapter is slowly unfolding for me in PNG for me – as I spend time with the family here in Sydney I realise who and where my “true” clan are. One week down and three more to go!…

Been back in Sydney now for 3 days and its been absolutely superb. This is the third time I have returned “home” since moving to PNG in early 2005. Each trip has had it’s own twist or flavour with different personal reactions to the external and internal nuances of each culture. In a way it feels like I have moved from one end of the spectrum to the other – the contrasts in culture and custom between the two places is difficult to put into words or description…

after a 4 hour flight from Moresby – I landed safely in Sydney last night. Was met by Mum, John, Yolande, Jackson and Maxi – it is tops to see and hug my family again. It’s nice to be in Sydney again and having a rest from the intensity and overwhelm of PNG. At the moment taking Mum’s ADSL2 connection for a bit of a test run magic!!…
