Introspection

From time to time we need to go within and find a point of reference – whether we find it or not is another matter. If you have ever lost a loved one or someone close – here’s a poem I stumbled across recently guaranteed to scrape your very core

Farewell Papua New Guinea

Here’s a short poem I wrote whilst waiting to board a flight back to Sydney at Jackson’s airport in Port Moresby .

Stuck between a rock and a hard place

Papua New Guineans find themselves stuck between a rock and a hard place. Compassion, integrity and strength – inherent qualities of the traditional tribal leader

Sodoma and Gomorra

Sergeant Hans Schultz

I see nothing! I know nothing!!

“Surrender”

Potentially
just from one moment to the next.
Just like that!

The intensity of it all

Amidst the depth of frustration, uncertainty and overwhelm there rises a sense of fulfilment, belonging and purpose like I have never experienced before. Although the future remains elusive there is comfort in knowing that true spirituality lies in the direction of unknowing-ness.

“Ambition”

I hope one day when I’m still young
I can reach out far
even further than the sun

Modern day slavery

Papua New Guineans have become slaves within their own country. When are they going to stand up and say enough is enough!!
